The charity concert of sacred music "There is Hope" was held on April 19 in the house of prayer of the Second Community of Seventh-day Adventists in Mykolaiv.
The event gathered about 100 attendees who joined the fundraiser for Ukrainians, both military and civilians, affected by the war and in need of maxillofacial surgery.
The Surgery of War charity foundation, which has already operated on nearly 30 people (100 operations in a year and a half), will receive the UAH 29,000 raised for further treatment of the wounded.
Performers from Mykolaiv, Berezanka, Buzke and Odesa took part in the concert. A special guest was Mikhail Ivashchenko, who performed several touching songs. The event's host, Volodymyr Shevchuk, skillfully combined each performance with the main theme of the evening - hope and support.
Semen Bykov, a pastor, volunteer, and executive secretary of the Southern Conference (an association of Adventist communities in Mykolaiv, Odesa, and Kherson regions), spoke about the activities of the War Surgery Foundation and the current needs for treatment. He also shared spiritual comfort from God's Word.
