The Lord calls people to ministry, but He never leaves them alone in weariness, fear, responsibility, or trials.<\/em><\/p>\n When we serve in the church, family, community, or share our faith with others, a sense of our own inadequacy may arise. But the foundation of ministry is not our abilities, but the faithfulness of God\u2019s Word. His promises remind us: God is present, strengthens, gives wisdom, provides for needs, and sees every act of love. These promises are given not for a carefree life, but for the path of faith on which Christ leads His children.<\/p>\n The minister\u2019s first need is to know that he is not alone. The Lord does not promise the absence of difficulties, yet He promises to be near in every situation. His presence is stronger than fear of people, the unknown, or one\u2019s own weakness.<\/p>\n \u201cFear not, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God! I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.\u201d Isaiah 41:10<\/a><\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n \u201cHave I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.\u201d Joshua 1:9<\/a><\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Jesus repeated this promise to His church when sending the disciples to preach the gospel. It applies to everyone who faithfully carries out Christ\u2019s commission.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.\u201d Matthew 28:20<\/a><\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Ministry can sometimes be exhausting: the fruits of labor are not always visible, not everyone responds with gratitude, and resources may seem depleted. Yet God does not require a person to draw strength only from themselves. He gives power to those who acknowledge their dependence on Him.<\/p>\n \u201cHe gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength.\u201d Isa. 40:29<\/a><\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n \u201cBut those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.\u201d Isa. 40:31<\/a><\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n The apostle Paul experienced this truth personally. The Lord does not always remove difficulties immediately, but He gives grace sufficient to pass through them and glorify Christ.<\/p>\n \u201cMy grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.\u201d 2 Corinthians 12:9<\/a><\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n In ministry, not only energy and a sincere heart are needed, but also heavenly wisdom: how to speak, when to remain silent, how to support a person, and how to make the right decision. God generously answers prayer for wisdom. He also gives peace that does not depend on circumstances.<\/p>\n \u201cIf any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.\u201d James 1:5<\/a><\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n \u201cPeace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.\u201d John 14:27<\/a><\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Ellen G. White repeatedly emphasized that Christ\u2019s workers should rely not on human plans, but on the power of the Holy Spirit. True spiritual work is born from personal communion with God and trust in His guidance.<\/p>\n God\u2019s worker may worry about time, health, finances, family, and the future. Christ does not encourage irresponsibility, but calls us to put the Kingdom of God first. He who knows our needs is able to care for us in the best way and at the best time.<\/p>\n \u201cBut seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.\u201d Matt. 6:33<\/a><\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n \u201cAnd my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.\u201d Philippians 4:19<\/a><\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n This promise does not mean that a Christian will always have everything they desire. It assures us: the Lord will faithfully give everything necessary for life, salvation, and service to Him.<\/p>\n Sometimes the results of ministry are hidden from our eyes. A kind word, a prayer, a visit, a Bible lesson, or simple help may bear fruit much later. God sees what we do not see and remembers every act of service done out of love for Him.<\/p>\n \"Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord!\" 1 Cor 15:58<\/a><\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\nThe Lord promises His constant presence<\/h2>\n
