Acknowledging Christ as Lord does not diminish the Father, but reveals His love, righteousness, and saving purpose for humanity.<\/em><\/p>\n The words of the apostle Paul explain where the whole history of salvation is leading: every person will ultimately see the truth about Jesus. Christ is not merely a great Teacher or prophet. He is Lord, Savior, and the Son of God, who willingly humbled Himself, died for sinners, and was exalted by the Father. When He is acknowledged as Lord, glory returns to God the Father, because it was the Father who sent the Son, accepted His sacrifice, and revealed His character through Him.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father!\u201d Philippians 2:11<\/a><\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n People often imagine God as distant, severe, or indifferent to human pain. Yet the life of Jesus showed what the Father is really like. In Christ we see mercy toward the weak, forgiveness for the guilty, purity regarding sin, and sacrificial love. Jesus healed, accepted the rejected, taught the truth, and gave Himself for the world. Therefore, to look at Christ means to know the Heavenly Father.<\/p>\n \u201cHe who has seen Me has seen the Father.\u201d John 14:9<\/a><\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n So when a Christian worships Jesus, he is not turning away from the Father. On the contrary, he is receiving God\u2019s revelation of the Father given through the Son. The unity of the Father and the Son is a unity of love, purpose, and ministry for the salvation of humanity.<\/p>\n The context of these words is especially important. Paul explains that Christ, having the divine nature, did not cling to His glory, but took the form of a servant and became obedient even to death on the cross. It was here that the highest glory of God was revealed: not in power that compels, but in love that sacrifices itself.<\/p>\n \u201cHe humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.\u201d Philippians 2:8<\/a><\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n The cross shows that God does not treat sin lightly, yet He also does not leave the sinner without hope. God\u2019s justice is revealed in the seriousness of the price of sin, and His mercy in the fact that Christ took that price upon Himself. Therefore, Jesus\u2019 victory over sin and death glorifies the Father as the One who is both just and loving.<\/p>\n After Christ\u2019s voluntary humiliation, the Father exalted Him. This does not mean that the Son did not previously have glory, but it testifies to the victory of His earthly mission. The resurrection and exaltation of Jesus confirmed that His sacrifice was accepted, death was conquered, and salvation is real for everyone who believes.<\/p>\n \u201cTherefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name.\u201d Philippians 2:9<\/a><\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n There is no rivalry here between the Father and the Son. The Father glorifies the Son, and the Son glorifies the Father. Jesus prayed about this before the cross, saying that He had finished the work entrusted to Him.
