A field, grass, children among the greenery\u2014it is like a short parable written not with ink, but with light. Grass seems strong while it stands fresh; childhood seems long while we look at it up close. But the day passes, the season changes, and we suddenly understand: everything that grows on earth grows quickly\u2014and just as quickly can disappear.<\/p>\n The Bible often uses grass as a symbol of human life. Not to frighten us with fragility, but to teach us wisdom: not to tie our hearts to what is temporary and not to postpone the eternal until later.<\/p>\n \u201cThe grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever!\u201d Isa. 40:8<\/a><\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n This text sounds especially profound when placed alongside children. For a child is not simply the future of a family or church. It is a living soul to whom God is already entrusting light, love, and the ability to hear His voice today.<\/p>\n Children grow quietly. We often notice changes only when they have already become obvious: hands have grown, the voice has changed, new questions have appeared, new fears, new dreams. But the most important growth happens even more quietly\u2014in the heart.<\/p>\n It is there that either trust or indifference takes root; prayer or emptiness; love for God or the habit of living without Him. That is why Jesus did not place children in the background. He did not say, \u201cWait until they grow up.\u201d On the contrary, He revealed the Kingdom of God precisely through their simplicity.<\/p>\n \u201cLet the children come to Me, and do not forbid them, for of such is the kingdom of God!\u201d Mark 10:14<\/a><\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n In these words there is an appeal to parents, teachers, and the church. Not hindering children from coming to Christ means not only bringing them to worship services. It means creating an atmosphere where faith does not seem like a burden, prayer does not seem like a formality, and God\u2019s commandments do not seem like a cold law without love.<\/p>\n In the field, the result of the seed is visible. In the heart\u2014not always at once. But the spiritual law is unchanging: whatever we sow, that we will also reap. The words of parents, the tone of voice, the example set on Sabbath, honesty in little things, the ability to ask forgiveness\u2014all these are seeds.<\/p>\n \u201cDo not be deceived, God is not mocked. For whatever a man sows, that he will also reap!\u201d Gal 6:7<\/a><\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n So the poetic meaning of this picture can be expressed briefly:<\/p>\n The field is silent\u2014and teaches. Not everything we give children will remain with them forever. Toys will break, clothes will become too small, achievements will be forgotten. But kindness, faith, purity of thought, love for God\u2019s Word\u2014these are seeds that may outlive our days.<\/p>\n The Psalms remind us that human life is like grass.
