When John lived with Jesus on earth, he saw Him as Teacher, Friend, and Savior. But in Revelation Christ is revealed in a completely different role \u2014 as the heavenly King and High Priest<\/b>.<\/p>\n
The description in the first chapter is striking in its majesty: eyes like a flame of fire, a voice like the sound of many waters, a face shining like the sun. He is clothed in a long garment and girded with a golden sash \u2014 attire that recalls the ministry of the high priest.<\/p>\n
This shows an important truth: after His resurrection and ascension, Jesus continues to minister to His people<\/i>. He is our Heavenly High Priest.<\/p>\n
John\u2019s reaction was very strong:<\/p>\n
