No psychology, no human wisdom reaches where the Word of God reaches. It reveals a person to himself \u2014 not for condemnation, but to <i>heal and transform<\/i>.<\/p>\n<h2>\u201cJudges thoughts and intentions\u201d \u2014 a diagnosis of the heart<\/h2>\n<p>A person often does not know his true motives. He does good deeds out of pride, prays for appearance\u2019s sake, forgives \u2014 yet holds on to resentment. The Word of God \u201cjudges the thoughts and intentions of the heart\u201d \u2014 not as a judge for sentencing, but as <b>a physician for a correct diagnosis<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>Whoever regularly reads Scripture gradually begins to see himself more honestly.
