What does God want to tell me?\"<\/p>\n<p><b>Second\u2014pray while reading.<\/b> Not only before, but also during the process. \"Lord, help me understand,\" \"What does this mean for my day today?\"\u2014such a dialogue turns reading into a conversation.<\/p>\n<p><b>Third\u2014write down one thought.<\/b> Not an outline, but one sentence\u2014what touched you. This note reinforces what was heard and allows you to return to it.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\"Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked&#8230; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on His law he meditates day and night.\" <cite><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Psalm+1:1-2&amp;version=UKR\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ps. 1:1\u20132<\/a><\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>What is read\u2014and what is lived<\/h2>\n<p>James warned: there are readers who hear and forget, like those who look in a mirror and walk away\u2014and no longer remember what they looked like (James 1:23\u201324). <b>The Word lived out is the Word a person takes with them after reading<\/b>: into decisions, into conversation, into the relationships of the day.<\/p>\n<h2>Practical meaning<\/h2>\n<p>A few practical steps for study that brings change:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Choose one book of the Bible and read it consecutively\u2014do not jump around.<\/li>\n<li>Ask three questions about each passage you read: <i>What does this say about God? What about people?
