The second draws near to the human being and the garden, where relationships take place.<\/p>\n<h2>The structure of Genesis 1: cosmic rhythm toward the Sabbath<\/h2>\n<p>Genesis 1 is organized in a rhythmic repetition: \u201cAnd God said... and it was so... and God saw that it was good... and there was evening and there was morning.\u201d The six days of creation have an internal symmetry\u2014three days of forming and three days of filling. God does not stop because of fatigue\u2014He sanctifies time as a gift to humanity. Rest together with the Creator is the goal of creation.<\/p>\n<h2>The image of God: what does it mean<\/h2>\n<blockquote><p>\"So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.\" <cite><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Genesis+1%3A27&amp;version=UKR\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gen. 1:27<\/a><\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The image of God (Heb. <em>tselem Elohim<\/em>) is the unique dignity of humanity among all creation. This means:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Representation:<\/b> humanity is called to reflect God in the world\u2014in relationships, stewardship, and care.<\/li>\n<li><b>Relationship:<\/b> \"male and female\"\u2014the image of God is borne by the pair, not by an isolated individual. Connection is part of identity.<\/li>\n<li><b>Dignity:<\/b> every person, regardless of status, race, or abilities, bears the imprint of the Creator.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Genesis 2: the personal dimension<\/h2>\n<p>The second chapter moves closer to the details: the garden, the rivers, the trees, the breathing of life into humanity. <b>Here God is not simply the Creator of the universe\u2014He personally forms the human being and places him in the context of relationships, work, and freedom.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The human being receives a name (Adam), a place (the Garden of Eden), a calling (to keep and cultivate it), and a command (not to eat from the tree of knowledge). All of this together forms the picture of a living, responsible person dependent on God.<\/p>\n<h2>Practical meaning<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Humanity is not an accident of evolution and not an instrument of the cosmos. It is the image of God with a specific purpose.<\/li>\n<li>The Sabbath reminds us every week: you do not live only for work and achievements\u2014you are invited into rest with the One who created you.<\/li>\n<li>Relationships between people are part of reflecting the image of God. To love your neighbor means to honor the Creator in him.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Genesis 1\u20132 answers the deepest question: who am I?
