After major wars, society goes through a difficult stage of recovery \u2014 and fear of this is entirely natural.<\/b> But Scripture speaks to those who live in anxiety not with \u201cdo not be afraid\u201d as a command, but with \u201cI am with you\u201d as a promise.<\/p>\n

Fear is not sin, but it is not the final point<\/h2>\n

\u201cDo not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.\u201d Isaiah 41:10<\/a><\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

God does not say, \u201cDo not feel fear.\u201d He says, \u201cI am here.\u201d This is not a denial of anxiety \u2014 it is a presence greater than anxiety<\/b>. The prophet Jeremiah wrote Lamentations among the ruins \u2014 and yet found a new reason for hope every morning (Lam. 3:22\u201323).<\/p>\n

God restores \u2014 that is His specialty<\/h2>\n

\u201cHe heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.\u201d Ps. 147:3<\/a><\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Recovery after trauma is not merely a psychological process. It is God\u2019s work. He specializes in \u201cbroken hearts\u201d \u2014 and all His fullness is directed toward binding up the wounds of society and the individual.<\/p>\n

The church as a place of restoration<\/h2>\n

After wars, the community of believers is not just a \u201cplace of ministry.\u201d It becomes a space of healing<\/b>: where a veteran can be heard, where a widow will find support, where a child will see the example of a worthy adult. The church is God\u2019s instrument of restoration in society.<\/p>\n

Practical meaning<\/h2>\n

  • Fear of \u201cwhat society will be like\u201d should not be suppressed. Bring it before God.<\/li>\n
  • Focus: what can I do in my immediate circle right now?<\/li>\n
  • Remember: God restored Israel after Babylon. He will also restore what this war has destroyed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    The future after the war is unknown \u2014 but not hopeless.
