The Psalms, Paul\u2019s epistles, even Jesus\u2019 prayer in Gethsemane testify that God\u2019s people also experienced deep inner distress.<\/b> The question is not whether we will feel anxiety, but what we will do with it.<\/p>\n<h2>Scripture acknowledges the reality of anxiety<\/h2>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cIn the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts delight my soul.\u201d <cite><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Psalm+94:19&amp;version=UKR\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ps 94:19<\/a><\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>David did not pretend that everything was fine. He described the real experience of \u201cmultiplied anxieties\u201d\u2014and yet found God not absent, but a Comforter. This is not a magical removal of anxiety\u2014it is <b>the presence of the One who is greater than it<\/b>.<\/p>\n<h2>Christ in Gethsemane: He knew anxiety from the inside<\/h2>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cMy soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death.\u201d <cite><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Matthew+26:38&amp;version=UKR\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Matt 26:38<\/a><\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Jesus in Gethsemane is not a God distant from human pain. He said, \u201cMy soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death\u201d \u2014 and yet He prayed. <b>He showed not the absence of anxiety, but the way through it: honest prayer, trust in the Father, a step forward.<\/b><\/p>\n<h2>Four biblical responses to anxiety<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li><b>Prayer with thanksgiving<\/b>: \u201cBe anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God\u201d (Phil 4:6).<\/li>\n<li><b>Redirecting the mind<\/b>: \u201cThink on whatever is true, honorable, just&#8230;\u201d (Phil 4:8).<\/li>\n<li><b>Community<\/b>: \u201cBear one another\u2019s burdens\u201d (Gal 6:2).<\/li>\n<li><b>Trust as an active choice<\/b>: \u201cCast all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you\u201d (1 Pet 5:7).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Practical meaning<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Anxiety may require both spiritual and psychological help \u2014 one does not exclude the other.<\/li>\n<li>\u201cDo not be anxious\u201d in Scripture is not a command to \u201cfeel nothing,\u201d but an invitation to \u201cplace it on Him.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Christ is not merely a theoretical solution. He is a living Companion in anxiety.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>The God who saw the sweat of Gethsemane understands your anxiety.
