But if it is a \u201cchange of mind,\u201d then repentance is the beginning of a new way to <i>see<\/i>: God, oneself, one\u2019s neighbor, sin, and grace.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cTherefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.\u201d <cite><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=2+Corinthians+5:17&amp;version=UKR\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2 Cor 5:17<\/a><\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>Practical meaning<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Repentance is not a one-time confession. It is a new orientation that is expressed in changed thoughts and decisions.<\/li>\n<li>\u201cTo think differently\u201d is the daily task of a disciple who is being renewed in the Word and prayer.<\/li>\n<li>Metanoia opens the Kingdom \u2014 because a person begins to see reality the way God sees it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>\u201cRepent\u201d is Jesus\u2019 boldest invitation.
