How should this be understood? And did He use His divine power?<\/p>\n<h2>Kenosis: voluntary limitation<\/h2>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWho, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a servant.\u201d <cite><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Philippians+2:6-7&amp;version=UKR\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Philippians 2:6\u20137<\/a><\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The word \u201cmade Himself of no reputation\u201d (Greek <i>eken\u014dsen<\/i>) gave its name to the theological concept of \u201ckenosis\u201d: Christ <b>voluntarily refrained from the independent use of His divine attributes<\/b> \u2014omniscience, omnipresence, omnipotence\u2014and lived in dependence on the Father and the Spirit.<\/p>\n<h2>Miracles\u2014not from Himself, but from the Father<\/h2>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI can of Myself do nothing&#8230; because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me.\u201d <cite><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=John+5:30&amp;version=UKR\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">John 5:30<\/a><\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Jesus repeatedly emphasized: miracles were performed not independently, but in union with the Father. <b>He did not \u201cswitch on\u201d His divine \u201cself\u201d at His own will<\/b> \u2014He remained in constant prayerful communion with the Father.<\/p>\n<h2>Adventist understanding<\/h2>\n<p>Ellen White and Adventist theology emphasize: Christ took human nature <i>after the Fall<\/i> (weakened, not merely \u201cpre-Fall\u201d). This means: His victory over temptations was not due to some hidden \u201cDivine button,\u201d but through <b>the same dependence on the Father<\/b>, which is available to us as well.<\/p>\n<h2>Practical meaning<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>If Jesus \u201csaved Himself\u201d by His own divinity, then His victory over temptation is not an example for us. But if He overcame as a human being dependent on God, then we can walk the same path.<\/li>\n<li>His miracles are testimony to the Father\u2019s authority, not \u201cbonuses\u201d of His divine nature.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Kenosis is not a lowering of Christ.
