This book stirred controversy \u2014 but over its position on the nature of Christ, not because of any \u201cinsertion of the Trinity.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>White\u2019s Trinitarian theology \u2014 in the original texts<\/h2>\n<p>Ellen White\u2019s texts containing clearly Trinitarian statements are present in the original publications \u2014 long before Froom:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThe Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead, equal with the Father and the Son.\u201d \u2014 <i>The Desire of Ages<\/i> (1898), ch. 73<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The 1898 edition of The Desire of Ages is available in the original. <b>There is no evidence whatsoever of manipulation of White\u2019s original text.<\/b><\/p>\n<h2>About Freemasonry and conspiracy theories<\/h2>\n<p>Claims about Froom\u2019s Freemasonry have no documentary support whatsoever. This is a classic tactic of discrediting through unverified labels.<\/p>\n<h2>Practical meaning<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The Adventist Trinitarian position is grounded in Scripture, not in human manipulation.<\/li>\n<li>Conspiracy-theory versions require careful source verification\u2014not simply reposting from non-Trinitarian websites.<\/li>\n<li>If you have doubts, look for the original documents at <i>egwwritings.org<\/i>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>The doctrine of the Trinity emerged in Adventism through deeper study of Scripture, not through manipulation.
