The unrighteous will remain unrighteous, the righteous \u2014 righteous. <b>This is not a moment when God stops loving.<\/b> It is the moment when human character fully reveals its direction.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cHe who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; he who is righteous, let him be righteous still; and he who is holy, let him be holy still.\u201d <cite><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Revelation+22:11&amp;version=UKR\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Revelation 22:11<\/a><\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>What this does not mean<\/h2>\n<p>Critics often distort this concept like this: \u201cAdventists teach that people must attain sinlessness by their own efforts before the close of probation.\u201d But this is a false understanding. <b>Adventist theology says: character is formed through union with Christ, not through human effort.<\/b><\/p>\n<h2>The analogy of Noah<\/h2>\n<p>When the door of the ark was shut \u2014 there was a time to be saved inside, and a time of storm. But the One who shut the door was <i>the Lord<\/i> (Genesis 7:16). He is not a cruel judge tired of waiting \u2014 He is the One whose compassion has already done everything possible.<\/p>\n<h2>Practical meaning<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The \u201cclose of probation\u201d gives no grounds for fear \u2014 only for seriousness.<\/li>\n<li>Character is formed today. Every day is part of the answer to the question: \u201cwhat kind of person am I becoming?\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Hope is not in \u201cmaking it before closing time\u201d \u2014 but in daily clinging to Christ.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>The \u201ctime of grace\u201d is still open. Today is the day of salvation (2 Cor 6:2).
