This is an undeniable and central gospel truth.<\/p>\n<h2>\u201cJudgment\u201d in the Bible has several meanings<\/h2>\n<p>A key point: the Greek word <i>krisis<\/i> and <i>krima<\/i> in the New Testament do not always mean \u201ccondemnation.\u201d They can mean \u201cexamination,\u201d \u201cevaluation,\u201d \u201cprocess\u201d \u2014 not necessarily a verdict.<\/p>\n<p>The apostle Paul himself speaks about the \u201cday\u201d when each person\u2019s work will be revealed (1 Cor 3:13\u201315). Even the righteous will pass through this examination \u2014 but they will come out of it with a reward, not condemnation. <b>For the believer, the heavenly judgment is not a judgment over his sins, but a judgment that confirms his justification through Christ.<\/b><\/p>\n<h2>The Adventist position: judgment confirms, not threatens<\/h2>\n<p>In the investigative judgment, Christ is the Advocate of His people:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cIf anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.\u201d <cite><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=1+John+2:1&amp;version=UKR\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">1 John 2:1<\/a><\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The heavenly judgment is not a process in which God is looking for a reason to condemn the believer. <b>It is a process in which God publicly confirms: these people trusted in Christ, their sins are forgiven, they are ready to enter the Kingdom.<\/b> This is not needed for God \u2014 He already knows. It is needed for the openness of the judgment before the whole universe.<\/p>\n<h2>Practical meaning<\/h2>\n<p><b>John 5:24 and Rom 8:1 do not contradict the investigative judgment \u2014 they describe its result for the believer.<\/b> Those who are in Christ will not come into judgment as condemned. But the judgment will take place \u2014 and it will become evident to the whole universe that God has acted justly and mercifully toward every
